Comes a question from a reader about Write Without AI:
I’d love to join this program but i think it’s not my time. I don’t have a list to sell so my doubt is: should I invest in this program? Or should I wait until I can apply the learning to a real list?
What should I do? Can I ask for an honest advice? 🙂
S.
Having to give honest advice regarding do-I-buy-or-not is always tricky. It’s a question I do NOT look forward to, and yet, I get it more often than I’d like.
By default, my fingers itch to type, “Well, you better not sign up!”
Mostly because:
1) Realistically speaking, yes, of course I want everyone to sign up because it’s my offer and, to me at least, it is the best of its kind there is, and so I can’t promise that my answer will be unbiased.
And 2) Every person has their unique situation that I am unaware of. So it’s really impossible to know what is truly the best advice for any individual.
Even so, once such a question is asked, it behooves me to provide an answer.
And since this question, at least in its face value, may be relevant to many of you, I figure I should answer it in an email:
This is how I responded to this reader:
Hi S.
It all depends on your goals and aspirations.
I’ve had some folks take this workshop in the past who didn’t have a list yet.
They were serious about building their list and wanted to stay on top of writing the emails so that when they got their first subscriber, they could start sending even just that one person emails that set them up as an expert in their respective fields — emails that influence and persuade.
So I guess the question for you is: you may not have a list right now, but are you serious about building one soon?
In most cases, when it comes to writing, you do not learn to be a better writer after you have readers, but you learn to write better so you can have readers.
Emails work like that, too.
And also, while you’ll be writing emails, you’re not only learning to write emails; you’re also learning marketing and sales skills that are transferable across other formats like your articles, sales and landing pages, client communications, and more.
But more importantly, if you spend time learning to write better emails, but then you don’t build a list or don’t send that list emails, then what’s even the point?
That’s my thinking on the matter, anyway. The rest depends on you.

So yeah, that’s my answer (and my advice) to anyone with no list or a small list considering whether to invest in this workshop or not.
The workshop itself will be amazing. I have plenty of unprompted testimonials and gushing words to prove it is so. You will learn a lot; that’s a given.
But is it worth the investment?
That answer depends entirely on whether or not you make use of what you’ll learn in the workshop.
You can save a bunch of money if you wanna take advantage of the 25% early-bird discount… until this Sunday, end of day.
